Telx Expands into Two Telx New York City Data Centers

Telx announced the expansion of DE-CIX New York's Internet exchange services to two of its six New York City metro data centers, NYC1 and NYC2. DE-CIX will offer Internet Service Providers (ISPs), carriers and other Telx customers additional opportunities for network management by expanding peering to multinational enterprises, increasing options for the low-latency transfer of data, as well as business continuity via a single cross connect. DE-CIX New York, a subsidiary of DE-CIX is a carrier- and data center-neutral Internet exchange distributed across several carrier hotels and data centers throughout the NY/NJ metro area. The exchange supports peering for the Internet ecosystem, from broadband networks and hosting providers to content distributors and cloud computing players. The following Telx data center facilities, with significant network-centric capacities, are now supporting DE-CIX's customer base throughout the New York/New Jersey metro area: NYC1 (60 Hudson Street) is recognized as one of the most important interconnection and colocation facilities--not just in New York City, but also globally--serving as the nerve center for international communications, offering access to physical connection points to the telecommunications networks and Internet backbones; NYC2 (111 8th Avenue) is a premier North American data center, located in New York City.
