The Quimper commercial court has rejected around a dozen takeover bids for Doux S.A., which includes bids from Sofiproteol, which piloted a coordinated bid from a consortium of companies who were each interested in a part of Doux's activities. Quimper court has also extended the administration period of Doux in order to five its Founder, Charles Doux and creditor, Barclays PLC more time to finalize their continuation plan. Doux's period in administration has been extended to November 30, 2012 but the Doux famliy and Barclays will be in court on October 9, 2012 to present a progress report on the continuation plan. The deadline for full and partial bids is August 10, 2012.
