Go Daddy is expanding again with a permanent Seattle-area office in Kirkland or Bellevue, Washington, set to open in June. Several new employees are already operating out of a temporary office near Carillon Point in Kirkland. The company hired Chief Architect Arnold Blinn, who spent 17 years at Microsoft Corporation in senior architect roles; CTO & EVP Platforms Elissa Murphy was Yahoo VP of engineering for cloud services and helped lead Yahoo! to be a force with code contributions for the latest version of Hadoop; SVP and GM Hosting Jeff King is a 17-year veteran in online commerce. Most recently an executive at eBay; EVP eCommerce Phil Bienert joins from AT&T, where he led the online marketplace as SVP Consumer Digital Experience; SVP Design and User Experience Rick Eames worked for Microsoft most recently and Apple previously; VP and GM Domains Mike McLaughlin joined from eBay, where he helped build eBay Motors into the online automotive marketplace. Most recently McLaughlin was COO at Glyde; VP and GM Site Builder Products Raj Mukherjee previously led the Google SMB application business, after a successful career at Microsoft. Head of Commerce Sandeep Grover is a former Amazon Product Lead and now oversees the company's eCommerce offerings, including Quick Shopping Cart.
Go Daddy Software, Inc. announced it has hired two new executives to boost expansion around technology partners and products. Go Daddy has hired David Popowitz as its first Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and Raj Mukherjee as Vice President and General Manager of its Site Builder Product line. Popowitz leads Go Daddy's effort to acquire and partner with companies that offer products and services which enhance the customer experience and their success. Mukherjee is leveraging his past SMB experience to bolster Go Daddy's Website Builder and other related products. Both Popowitz and Mukherjee are based in Go Daddy's new Mountain View, California office. Prior to joining Go Daddy, Popowitz was an investment banker at Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank and most recently Credit Suisse where he led the Technology Investment Banking Group. Last year, Popowitz was SVP of Finance at RingCentral, a privately-held, SaaS company providing hosted PBX for small businesses. Popowitz is also an active angel investor and advisor to start-ups.
