Dots, LLC announced the next steps of its plan to grow into a 1,000-store, national fashion retailer. The retailer also announced plans to create a Dots merchandise center in New York City. The company has hired Lisa Rhodes, former Senior Vice President of Wal-Mart's U.S. apparel merchandising division, as CEO. Ms. Rhodes brings to Dots more than 30 years of experience in retail. Prior to her role at Wal-Mart, she spent 11 years as EVP/Chief Merchandising Officer for Maurice's. Ms. Rhodes also previously worked at Charming Shoppes, Marshall's, and Macy's. Rick Bunka will remain President at Dots, overseeing the balance of the corporate support functions in Glenwillow, Ohio, where the company's store operations, distribution, financial, human resources, and information technology segments will stay.

Dots, LLC announced the grand opening of its new Bronx, NY store. Located at 2146 Bartow Ave., in Bronx, NY, the retailer will open its doors to customers on November 10, 2011 at 10 a.m., in which the Bay Plaza Shopping Center will become home to the latest location of the fast-growing women's fashion apparel specialty retailer.

Nido R. Qubein, president of High Point University, has been elected to the board of directors of Dots, LLC. Qubein also serves on the boards of BB&T and La-Z-Boy corporations and chairs the board of Great Harvest Bread Co, which has 230 stores in 40 states.
