Consumer Cellular Expands Presence in Arizona

Consumer Cellular continues its growth trajectory by relocating its Phoenix customer support center to a new facility in Tempe, allowing the company to add hundreds of employees to its existing staff of more than 1,000 employees companywide. Consumer Cellular's new 85,245 square foot customer service center is located in the Tempe Commerce Park at 7410 S. Roosevelt Street. The company currently has more than 280 employees in the Phoenix-Tempe area and plans to add an additional 300 by May 2015. Consumer Cellular focuses its efforts on the market of adults 50+ who do not wish to be confined by long-term contracts or the rigidity of typical pre-paid and post-paid options. Consumer Cellular, Inc. is expanding its retail footprint in Sears stores nationwide for the third time since the partnership began in 2011. The retail expansion begins in May and includes a new, larger display with additional smartphone offerings, as well as expanded color options for most devices. The expansion will also allow existing phones to be offered in a wider range of colors such as the Consumer Cellular Envoy, now available in both red and black, as well as the Doro PhoneEasy 618, now available in black, silver and burgundy. Additional phones available at the expanded Sears display include the Huawei Vision and the LG Escape, rounding out a diverse device assortment including both senior-friendly cellphones and smartphones.
Consumer Cellular Announces Availability of Custom-Designed Phone

Consumer Cellular is now offering the Envoy feature phone to consumers through all of its distribution channels, including online, customer contact centers, and nationwide retail partners Sears and RadioShack. The Envoy is the device designed expressly for Consumer Cellular, created with customer preferences in mind. Working with manufacturing partner Huawei, Consumer Cellular set out to produce a stylish flip phone that is easy to learn and use, while also providing key convenience and functionality features for optimal on-the-go connectivity. The Envoy, available in red or black, offers text messaging, email, Internet and an MP3 music player in a simple-to-use flip phone. The phone has familiar touchpad keys for easy typing and its compact size and soft-touch coating allows for simple handling and stowing. The Envoy is sold for $35.
