Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) announced that Chief Administrative Officer Darrell Pauley is retiring from the PCAOB, effective December 31, 2013. Mr. Pauley was named Chief Administrative Officer in 2009, where he provided executive oversight to the offices of Information Technology, Human Resources, Finance, Budget, Facilities, and established a new office within the PCAOB, the Office of Compliance and Risk Management. Mr. Pauley joined the PCAOB in 2008 as its Chief Financial Officer, after serving more than 30 years with the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. He was an officer of the Board for most of that time, rising to Chief Financial Officer.
Marc B. Dorfman Joins Public Company Accounting Oversight Board as the Chief Hearing Officer

The Public Company Accounting Oversight Board announced that Marc B. Dorfman joined the organization as the Chief Hearing Officer. As head of the Office of the Chief Hearing Officer, Mr. Dorfman will adjudicate disciplinary proceedings instituted by the Board against registered public accounting firms and persons associated with those firms, as well as certain proceedings involving firm registration applications. The duties of the Chief Hearing Officer include scheduling and conducting hearings, ruling on motions, and preparing initial decisions in PCAOB disciplinary proceedings. Mr. Dorfman joined the PCAOB from Foley & Lardner LLP, where he was a partner in the law firm's Litigation Department, working in the Securities Enforcement & Litigation and the Appellate practices.
