Aviation Technical Services Formally Opens KC Facility; Signs New Contracts with Hawaiian Airlines and Air Canada

Aviation Technical Services, Inc. formally opened its newly-renovated 607,000-square-foot MRO complex at Kansas City International Airport (MCI) with a ribbon cutting and positive customer news.
The company announced that two business partners, Hawaiian Airlines and Air Canada, officially committed programs to the ATS-KC facility. Hawaiian's agreement for Boeing 767 heavy maintenance was formally signed earlier in the week. This contract initially involves (2) nose-to-tail heavy checks beginning in September 2014 and has the opportunity to turn into a longer term, exclusive agreement. The company has recently completed a series of Airbus A330 interior modifications for Hawaiian Airlines at its facility in Everett, Washington, adding to the partnership. The company was awarded Air Canada's exclusive agreement for Boeing 787 modifications before the event's formal program. The four-year contract solidifies and extends a previous version that had three 787s completed at the ATS facility in Everett, Washington, earlier in the year. The remaining 34 events will be inducted into the Kansas City facility starting in September 2014 and extending through 2018.
Aviation Technical Services Enters into Service Agreement with UTair Aviation

Aviation Technical Services and UTair Aviation have entered into a service agreement for ATS to supply maintenance and engineering services to the Russian passenger carrier on eight (8) B767-200 aircraft. The program will consist of modifying the existing 170 passenger configuration aircraft to a 255 passenger configuration, along with integrating and maintaining the aircraft to UTair’s maintenance program. The services will be completed at the new ATS facility in Kansas City, Missouri.
Aviation Technical Services Lands KCI Maintenance Contract with Russian Airline

Aviation Technical Services landed a contract with a Russian airline to provide maintenance services at the KCI overhaul base. The firm, also known as ATS, it will work on eight Boeing 767-200 aircraft operated by UTair Aviation. Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.
