General Motors Korea Launches 2015 Malibu Diesel Sedan in South Korea

General Motors (GM) Korea launched the 2015 model year diesel-powered Malibu sedan in South Korea. The updated sedan carries the same powertrain specifications but has a telescopic steering wheel, as well as 18-inch alloy wheels in the top-end variants, while a tyre pressure monitoring system has been made standard across the entire model range. The 2015 model is to be marked up by some KRW 700,000.
GM Korea Opens Pre-Order Booking for 2015 Alpheon Luxury Sedan

General Motors Korea began accepting pre-orders for the 2015 model year Alpheon luxury sedan in South Korea. The automaker revealed that the new model will have cruise control and tyre pressure monitoring system as a standard feature and will be equipped with the latest infotainment system. The latest model is priced in the range of KRW 31.61 million to KRW 38.8 million, while the model is also available with a hybrid eAssist powertrain at a price of KRW 39.26 million. The Alpheon is the localised version of GM's Buick LaCrosse sedan model and was introduced into the South Korean market in 2010. The model competes against Hyundai and Kia's offerings like the Grandeur, Genesis, the K7 (known as Opirus globally), and the K9 in South Korea within its price band. The redesigned model is likely to increase the sales of the model to just over 5,500 units in 2014, up from last year's 3,921 units, while sales are projected to reach impressive levels when an all-new generation will hit the market sometime in 2018, according to IHS Automotive data. As well as the Alpheon model, GM Korea is also planning to roll out the latest model year Orlando multi-purpose-vehicle in South Korea this year.
General Motors Korea Launches Cruze Facelift

General Motors (GM) Korea launched a facelifted version of its Cruze model in the South Korea on 7 April. The latest Cruze model, known as the 2014 Cruze Design Package, features advanced safety devices like a dead-zone alarm device, among the domestic offerings, which generates an alarm when other vehicle approaches from the side. The new model has also undergone a few design changes largely on the exterior styling. The 2014 Cruze is available with three engine options: a 1.4-litre gasoline (petrol) turbo engine, a 1.8-litre gasoline engine and a 2-litre diesel engine, having a price range of USD 18,490 to USD 20,480.
