As of June 17, 1996, Tribe was acquired by ZOOM Technologies Inc. Tribe Computer Works designs, produces, and markets remote access systems and routers for branch office environments. The company initially developed switching hub products including the TribeStar, and in 1995 began shipping its line of eight-port and two-port TribeLink remote access products. The product highlights include ease of installation, high price/performance, and Internet-based management software, WebManageTM. Tribe Computer Works was founded in 1990.
