The Chrysler Group Reports Sales Results for the Month of February 2014

The Chrysler Group reported sales results for the month of February 2014. For the period, the company sales rose 11%, to 154,866 units, for its best February performance in seven years, in part on the strength of its Jeep brand, which gained 47% for the month.

Chrysler Group Secures New Loan

Chrysler Group has raised about $3 billion in bonds and secured $2 billion in new loans to refinance debt, for yearly savings on interest payments of about $134 million between 2014 and 2016;  will take non-cash charge of about $500 million.

Chrysler Group Reports Earnings Results for the Second Quarter of 2013; Revises Earnings Guidance for the Year 2013

Chrysler Group reported earnings results for the second quarter of 2013. For the quarter, the company's net income totaled $507 million a 16% increase from $436 million a year earlier. Net revenues climbed 7% from a year ago to $17.99 billion. The company reported modified operating profit of $808 million, down from $755 in the 2012 second quarter. The decline in part reflected a $151 million charge for the safety recall of several models of Jeeps. The company lowered its forecasts for 2013, penciling in net income between $1.7 and $2.2 billion, compared with a previous estimate of $2.2 billion. The company also revised downward its expected modified operating profit to a range between $3.3 and $3.8 billion, from $3.8 billion.
