The T.J. Maxx store in downtown Cincinnati will shut its doors sometime this spring. A store representative who answered the phone confirmed that the store would close in March or April of 2014. The two-story store sits adjacent to downtown's now-vacant Tower Place Mall and has been witness to the steady decline of the center city's retail environment. The company also reported it would open a new store in a 23,000-square-foot space at the Newport Pavilion.

T.J. Maxx announced that it is opening a store in the midway area of St. Paul on October 13, 2013. The 26,000-square-foot store will be located at Hamline and University avenues, a former Petco location between a Herberger's department store and a Cub Foods store. The busy cluster of retailers also includes a Walmart and Target. This will be its 10th location in the Twin Cities area. It is only other current St. Paul location is in Sun Ray Shopping Center. The store will have 75 full- and part-time employees.

T.J. Maxx, Inc. Signs Lease for 28,417 Square Feet at Throggs Neck Shopping Center Project

T.J. Maxx, Inc. has signed a lease for 28,417 square feet at the new Throggs Neck Shopping Center project currently under construction in the Ferry Point section of The Bronx and will serve as a junior anchor for the new development. Throggs Neck Shopping Center is being developed by Simone Development, in conjunction with Aaron Malinsky and Paul Slayton.
