Recursion Software, Inc. has introduced SCADA-Aware Mobile, a truly mobile SCADA alarm solution that exceeds the capabilities of SMS, e-mail, and pagers. By incorporating state-of-the-art mobile capabilities and real-time secure access to data, SCADA-Aware Mobile helps resolve alarms faster and better, avert disaster, and save labor, time, and money. SCADA-Aware Mobile provides maximum reliability of alarm message delivery through its Live Direct Connect process built on push-pull technology. Its GPS-based alarm delivery leads to faster response, and its presentation of alarms and data enhances situational awareness. Duplicate responses are eliminated due to immediate visibility of alarm acknowledgement and updates across a designated group. Regulatory and procedural compliance is ensured through complete alarm life-cycle audit. All interaction with alarms occurs on a single mobile device (including message delivery and acknowledgement). There is automatic proactive monitoring of whether the mobile devices of designated personnel are in a position to receive alerts. Automatic escalation of alarms happen as needed. A user can acknowledge an alarm through just one button. Users can access current, historical and related SCADA data from their mobile device. The data is real-time, and the access is safe as the system is integrated into corporate security policies. SCADA-Aware Mobile supports transparent switching between multiple mobile networks such as Edge, 3G, and 4G. The entire solution is implemented non-intrusively with an existing SCADA system. No new hardware is required on the server side.
