The location, inside Perimeter Center near Summer and White Station Road, has not announced a specific closing date, but its closing sale began Feb. 6. The closing, blamed on a 'lost lease' will not impact the other three Memphis-area Ashley locations.
Steve Glucksman Joins Ashley Furniture Home-Stores Division as Executive Vice President of Stores and Licensed Operations

Former Art Van Furniture executive Steve Glucksman has joined Ashley as executive vice president of stores and licensed operations under its Ashley Furniture Home-Stores division. In the new position, Glucksman is responsible for all corporate and licensed store operations and new store development, including the Ashley Sleep Shops in North America. Glucksman most recently was senior vice president of strategic development at Art Van, where according to Ashley, he was responsible for initiatives including acquisitions, franchising, entry into the Chicago and Toledo markets, and new concept and category introductions. He has more than 25 years of industry experience. Glucksman, who will be based in Brandon, Fla., is not taking the post of John Disa, former president of Global Retail over the HomeStores division, who left in November, but he will be taking on many of Disa's former duties.
