AmeriBen/IEC Group Chooses Elsevier's MEDai Inc.'s Risk Navigator Clinical(R) Software

Elsevier's MEDai, Inc. announced a new licensing agreement with AmeriBen/IEC Group for MEDai's Risk Navigator Clinical(R) software. MEDai's Risk Navigator Clinical will assist AmeriBen, which manages more than 150,000 lives, in its population management. MEDai will provide AmeriBen with Risk Navigator Clinical, a robust solution to analyze and understand their care populations, and execute on strategies to improve the quality of care, reduce costs and waste, and ultimately impact health for their members. Risk Navigator Clinical leverages predictive analytics to transform raw data into intelligent insight that payers can use to allocate resources efficiently and intervene before adverse, costly outcomes occur. Through an easy-to-use web interface, Risk Navigator's results outline areas that provide the potential for intervention and management, allowing stakeholders to improve operations and set competitive premium rates.

Elsevier/MEDai, Inc. Announces Executive Appointments

Elsevier/MEDai, Inc. announced the appointment of two key clinicians to its leadership team. Peter Edelstein, M.D., has been appointed Chief Medical Officer, and Gerald Osband, M.D., has been appointed Director, Product Strategy. Dr. Edelstein brings a wealth of knowledge to the organization, including 17 years in the clinical arena and healthcare industry. He then spent more than a decade as an executive in the Silicon Valley medical device industry. Before joining Elsevier/MEDai, Dr. Edelstein most recently served as a physician executive within the Adventist Health System. Dr. Osband is a seasoned clinician and physician executive whose senior level positions include Chief Medical Officer and Chief Operations Officer for nationally recognized healthcare management and technology organizations. He has provided independent consulting services for several major TPAs and a data management and guidelines organization. His clinical experience is the result of 18 years of family medicine practice, including positions teaching family medicine residents and nurse practitioners. Dr. Osband has a broad background and demonstrated leadership in indemnity and managed care programs for group health, workers compensation and disability products inclusive of clinical, operational, quality, and sales responsibilities.
