Building on the very successful Broadcaster DVB-IP Gateway product line, SysMaster Corporation is now offering an integrated video solution for hotels, complete with onsite installation. Most small/medium size hotels do not have dedicated IT personnel and rely on System Integrators to procure, install and maintain their IT resources, including their audio/video requirements. By offering an integrated solution with onsite installation inclusive of integration with the industry leading Micros-Fidelio PMS system, Sysmaster aims to lower the cost of acquisition and maintenance for hotels audio/video requirements. Symaster Hotel IPTV/VOD server includes the Broadcaster DVB-IP /Analog Gateway, which can capture satellite/terrestrial feeds or analog feeds from receivers and transmits them over an all IP network. The server also includes storage for Video on Demand content as well as the software to enable the hotel guests to interactively browse the available videos and watch them after confirming the payment. The Sysmaster server has an in-built billing system which can provide the hotel operators with the guests viewing history and charges. Where the hotels use a Micros Fidelio PMS system, the charges are passed on to the Micros Server, which will generate an integrated bill. In addition to Micros Fidelio, Sysmaster is also working on support for additional PMS interfaces.

SysMaster Corporation released its powerful Tornado M70 High Definition Set Top Box based on the Broadcom 74xx processor. Tornado M70 Hybrid HD STB can interface in parallel to DVB-S2 or DVB-C networks as well as IPTV networks. The STB devices will allow satellite and cable operators to provide additional IPTV services, in conjunction with existing DVB network, specifically targeted at VOD and PPV content. This way the device can receive traditional DVB channels using the DVB interface, and at the same time have access to IPTV VOD/PPV channels, OTT (over-the-top) content, and advanced Web-enabled services such as YouTube, Google Maps, Picasa, etc. Tornado M70 Hybrid HD supports an optional DVB-T USB tuner to allow subscribers to receive FTA DVB-T terrestrial digital television. The product features H.264/MPEG4, MPEG2, FLV and WMV/VC1 video compression, which allows it to deliver high quality video streams over IP networks with low bandwidth utilization. M70 supports protocols including RTP, RTSP, IGMP, MMS, HTTP and the increasingly popular HLS and RTMP formats. M70 ships with a JavaScript API and Adobe Flash Lite v.3 API Interface Support, enabling service providers to build custom interfaces using direct HTML template modification or create their fully proprietary JavaScript or Adobe Flash Lite v.3 interface.
