New Power Technologies Incorporated and GRIDiant Corporation to Provide Advanced Grid Analytics for Sacramento Municipal Utility District
Jan 22 13
Under an agreement announced on January 22, New Power Technologies Incorporated will provide Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) an integrated transmission and distribution (T&D) modeling tool powered by New Power Technologies' Energynet(R) and GRIDiant Corporation's Advanced Grid Management (GRIDiant(R) AGM(TM)) technologies. The integrated T&D modeling tool will combine the high-definition grid simulation and visualization capabilities of New Power Technologies' Energynet platform with the advanced grid analytics and optimization applications of GRIDfast(TM) technology licensed by GRIDiant. The combined technologies represent a new class of software tools for modeling networks and producing actionable intelligence from strategic data resources contained in legacy utility systems and Smart Grid investments.
GRID2020, Inc. and GRIDiant Corporation Establish Strategic Partnership to Integrate Grid Monitoring, Management and Analytics for Municipal and Cooperative Utilities
Jun 4 12
GRID2020, Inc. announced a strategic partnership with GRIDiant Corporation to integrate GRID20/20's OptaNODE Distribution Transformer Monitors with GRIDiant's Advanced Grid Management software system. The combined ‘GRID20/20 Suite’ will provide grid monitoring, visualization, analytics, and optimization to the municipal and cooperative utility industry worldwide. Both platforms have been developed and tested extensively over several years at major utilities including British Columbia Hydro, Duke Energy, Milton Hydro, Pepco, Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority, Sacramento Municipal Utility District, Southern California Edison, and Silicon Valley Power. The unique GRID20/20 Suite is scheduled for commercial release in the summer of 2012, with initial pilots planned at selected North American municipal and cooperative utilities. The first joint application will assist utilities in several valuable areas including the detection and prevention of power pilferage. Stolen power has become a sizeable and ever-growing problem in electric distribution systems resulting in significant revenue loss for many utilities. Combined with GRIDiant's extensive analytics, GRID20/20 delivers automated power distribution optimization solutions that enable municipal and cooperative utilities to realize accelerated ROI.
