ICA Fluor to Build $743 Million Gas Pipeline in Mexico

ICA Fluor signed a contract with TAG Pipelines Sur S. de R.L. de C.V. for the construction of the 1.42 billion cubic feet per day capacity Ramones II Sur Gas Pipeline through the states of San Luis Potosí, Querétaro and Guanajuato in Mexico. TAG Pipelines Sur is a joint venture between Mexico Power and Gas Ventures B.V. Fluor booked its $357 million portion of the contract value in the first quarter of 2014. ICA Fluor will be responsible for the engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning and start-up services of a 291.7-kilometer-long, 42-inch diameter pipeline with one compression station (for a total capacity of 1,420 MMCFD), located in the southern portion of the Los Ramones Phase II gas transportation system. The system will be completed in the second quarter of 2016. This project is a segment of the integrated Los Ramones transportation system, part of a strategy to supply central Mexico with natural gas imported from the United States. It is the third phase of a transportation system that runs from the U.S.-Mexico border to Apaseo el Alto, Guanajuato. As a result of the increasing needs for natural gas availability and distribution in different regions in Mexico, the project is expected to have a large impact on the country's industry and economy.
ICA Fluor to Build Vinyl Chloride Monomer Plant in Mexico

ICA Fluor announced the signing of a contract with Petroquimica Mexicana de Vinilo, a joint venture between Mexichem, the leading Mexican petrochemical company, and Pemex, Mexico's state-owned oil and gas company, for the revamp of the vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) plant located within the Pajaritos petrochemical complex, in Veracruz, on the Gulf of Mexico. The total contract value is approximately USD 205 million. ICA Fluor will be responsible for the engineering, procurement, construction, maintenance and commissioning services of the works to bring the VCM facility to its nameplate capacity of 405,000 tons per year from its current close to 200,000 tons per year. The project is planned to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2015. This revamp project will correct problems that have prevented the plant to reach its nameplate capacity. Petroquimica Mexicana de Vinilo is a flagship joint venture between Pemex and Mexichem, and reaching the plant's production potential is a central element in its business plan.
ICA Fluor and Fluor Corporation Award Premex Contract $95 Million

ICA Fluor and Fluor Corporation, was awarded an additional new $95 million contract by Pemex to develop the first phase of the overall project to reconfigure the Miguel Hidalgo Refinery, located in Tula, Hidalgo, Mexico. ICA Fluor will be responsible for the basic and detailed engineering for the process plants, auxiliary services and integration works required to increase the refinery's distillate production capacity from 63 to 80%. This is the first phase of a mega-project announced by Pemex to increase national production of higher value distillates through the reprocessing of products such as gasoil (diesel). Pemex expects its total investment to be approximately $3.5 billion.
