OutStart Inc. announced the immediate availability of OutStart LCMS 2009. OutStart spent more than two years developing and refining OutStart LCMS 2009 before bringing it to market. The new OutStart software delivers next-generation learning content management system (LCMS) functionality to develop, manage, maintain and deliver modular learning, which replaces the one-size-fits-all courses that have been a staple of the training industry for decades.
WEBACAD has chosen the OutStart learning content management system (LCMS) to develop, manage, maintain and deliver e-learning content for an online training initiative known in Europe as the Certified European E-Learning Manager (CELM) program. Through the CELM program, a project funded by the EU's Leonardo da Vinci Program, e-learning experts from Denmark, Germany, Greece, Liechtenstein, Romania and Switzerland have collaborated to establish a benchmark for certifying the competency of European e-learning managers. With OutStart LCMS, WEBACAD will produce the CELM program's e-learning modules. WEBACAD selected OutStart LCMS because it was essential that professionals who take part in the certification program be able to access and edit content over the web at any time. WEBACAD also felt the system underpinning the CELM program must provide a broad range of interactive learning methods as well as support advanced assessment techniques. Another decisive factor leading WEBACAD to select OutStart LCMS was the software's ability to translate online training materials for the CELM program and make the training relevant for each participating country's unique business environment.
OutStart Inc. has promoted Matthias Schulz to vice president of European Sales, a newly created position. In addition to European Sales, Mr. Schulz will continue as the managing director, or Geschaftsfuhrer, of Berlin-based OutStart GmbH.
