Royal Caribbean International Appoints Carol Schuster to Senior Vice President of Marketing

Royal Caribbean International announced the appointment of Carol Schuster to Senior Vice President of Marketing. Schuster joins the global cruise line with a background in building global brands, as well as new market entry, and will oversee all aspects of marketing for Royal Caribbean including brand strategy and positioning; consumer and trade advertising; digital and social media; and one-to-one and loyalty marketing. Most recently, Schuster ran a global marketing and brand consultancy and spearheaded the launch of U.S. women's luxury apparel company, Lafayette 148 New York, in China.

Royal Caribbean International Extends TV Channel Agreements with Oceans TV

Oceans TV announced that Royal Caribbean International has extended satellite TV channel agreements for two of the cruise line's ships. The first agreement covers the provision of a wide package of satellite TV channels for Serenade of the Seas whilst it cruises in European and Middle Eastern waters in Winter and Spring 2013. Channels include BBC World News, BBC Entertainment and CNBC Europe for English speaking passengers. The second agreement is for the supply of the TV Globo International satellite TV channel onboard Splendour of the Seas. Whilst the ship cruises around the South American coast for the next 6 months, passengers can enjoy Brazil's commercial television network which is watched by an estimated 120 million people daily across Latin America.
