It invests in stocks of companies operating across diversified sectors. The fund invests in stocks of large-cap companies. It seeks to replicate the performance of NASDAQ-100 Index, by investing in stocks as per their weightings in the index. The fund was formerly known as Nasdaq-100 Trust, Series 1. PowerShares QQQ Trust, Series 1 was formed on March 10, 1999 and is domiciled in the United States.
