Two more high-profile members of the state's business community have resigned from the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation' board of directors, leaving just 5 active members of a 13-member board. Providence entrepreneur Jack Templin is leaving two years into a four-year term. He said he's resigning "to make room for someone with full availability." Cheryl Watkins Snead, president and CEO of the North Smithfield-based Banneker Industries Inc., has served the full three-year term to which former Gov. Donald Carcieri appointed her. She told Chafee in a January letter that she needs to spend more time focusing on her company's strategic plan.
