Starcom MediaVest Group and Acxiom announced a new partnership that will give SMG clients access to Acxiom's Audience Operating System (AOS), a newly launched open platform that allows marketers, agencies and publishers to plan, buy and optimize audiences across channels, devices and applications with precision and scale. SMG and Acxiom will also co-develop applications for AOS that will introduce new ways to utilize the system's consumer data and decision science services. The agreement with Acxiom is a multiyear deal that gives SMG the right to extend at the conclusion of the partnership as well as first rights to global expansion. The deal also gives Publicis Groupe the option of expanding offerings to VivaKi and other Publicis Groupe companies. This partnership works in conjunction with Vivaki products, like AOD and SkySkraper. Acxiom AOS brings together all kinds of data - 1st party, 3rd party, online, offline - as well as multiple sources of media, channels and technologies. With the power to host virtually any marketing application imaginable, the platform is designed to distill massive amounts of data to create real, actionable insights. The co-development of applications will help SMG to further leverage Acxiom's data to create deeper insights that drive strategy as well as greater personalization and customization to enhance targeting of multiple, discrete audiences.

StarLink has been appointed Dell Software’s distributor in the Middle East for a broad range of legacy-Quest Software products, which are now a part of Dell Software Group (DSG). As part of this new exclusive distribution agreement, StarLink will be responsible for the distribution of a broad range of other Dell Software Solutions, including products from DSG’s Windows Server Management, Performance Monitoring, Identity and Access Management and User Workspace Management business units across the Middle East.

Starcom MediaVest Group (SMG) announced that it launched a new unit at the company, Zero Dot, a new generation of brand consulting, experience design, strategy and original creation of content. Zero Dot works to solve clients' marketing challenges with a unique approach. While the unit launched officially on October 30, 2013, Zero Dot has already been driving new ideas, innovation and returns for numerous clients, including Procter & Gamble brand Cheer, who recently named Zero Dot as one of its creative partners. The unit provides a new way for brands to think about creativity and ideas and its work is inherently designed for the digital age, across multiple screens-social and participatory at the core. Designed to work quickly, in an integrated fashion with a fast, agile process, Zero Dot yields ideas for clients who can take them to market faster than typical integrated marketing approaches. Zero Dot will collaborate with all SMG agencies and Centers of Excellence (COE) and joins a strong group of emerging media and content units at the company, including Liquid Thread; SMG's global data and analytics COE; its emerging mobile and social COE; Big Fuel, SMG's social agency; and its Search COE. Zero Dot will expand globally throughout 2014.
