Bacardi and SSP have opened Sweden’s first Bacardi Bar at Terminal 5 of Stockholm Arlanda Airport. The new bar is called “Casa Bacardi” and will offer travellers classic drinks in an environment reminiscent of 1950’s Cuba. It is located airside within Terminal 5 at gate area 3, and will be open 7 days a week.
Bacardi Limited has named Andy J. Gibson, 44, Chief Marketing Officer of Bacardi and President of Bacardi Global Brands Ltd. In these roles, Mr. Gibson will be responsible for the overall leadership and strategic direction of the company's internationally known portfolio of premium spirits brands. He also will serve as a member of the Bacardi Leadership Team and report to Bacardi Limited President and Chief Executive Officer Ed Shirley. Mr. Gibson joins Bacardi in late April and will be based at the Bacardi Global Brands headquarters in London. Most recently, Mr. Gibson served as Chief Marketing Officer for Carlton United Brewers. Mr. Gibson succeeds Ms. Silvia Lagnado, who left Bacardi at the end of 2012.
Bacardi Limited announced the appointment of Eric A. Kraus, 51, to a newly created role of Senior Vice President, Chief Communications and Corporate Affairs Officer, responsible for the company's Corporate Communications, External Affairs, and Corporate Responsibility functions globally. In this role, Mr. Kraus will lead all facets of Bacardi internal and external corporate communications, governmental and public affairs, and corporate responsibility programs in sustainability, social responsibility and philanthropy. He also will serve as a member of the Bacardi Leadership Team and report to Bacardi Limited President and Chief Executive Officer Ed Shirley. He will join the company by January 28, pending approval by the Bermuda Department of Immigration. Mr. Kraus most recently served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications and Public Affairs of Covidien plc directing Covidien's internal and external global communications and government affairs strategies. Prior to joining Covidien in July 2006, Mr. Kraus was Vice President, External Relations, Gillette, for The Procter & Gamble Company.
