Kyivstar to Close 3 Regional Branches

The Kyivstar telecommunications company (Kyiv) has closed its Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Crimea branches. The board of the company decided to close the Kharkiv (which covers operations in the Kharkiv, Poltava, and Sumy regions), Dnipropetrovsk (Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Luhansk, Donetsk, and Kirovohrad regions), and Crimea (Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol city) branches on December 2, 2013. The functions of the Kharkiv branch and part of the functions of the Dnipropetrovsk branch have been transferred to the Kyiv branch of Kyivstar. The functions of the Crimean branch and part of the functions of the Dnipropetrovsk branch have been transferred to the Odesa branch of the company. The decision to close the branches was made in connection with the introduction of a new operating model for Kyivstar and the related reorganization of the company's regional structure.
Kyivstar Introduces an Android Version of its 'My Kyivstar' Service Management Application

Kyivstar has introduced an Android version of its 'My Kyivstar' service management application. The app was also re-designed and new functions added. In addition, the application supports subscribers of fixed internet services from the operator. Postpaid and prepaid mobile subscribers can check their balance, change tariffs, activate or deactivate services and modify other parametres of their account using the application.
Kyivstar Introduces Free Kyivstar, Service with No Mandatory Subscription Charge

Kyivstar has introduced Free Kyivstar, a service with no mandatory subscription charge. Service packages will only be charged for on days they are used. Under Free Kyivstar, 200 minutes of daily on-net calls cost up to UAH 0.95 per day, depending on the region. A bundle of 50 SMS messages cost UAH 0.50, while 100 texts cost UAH 95. The daily charge for unlimited mobile internet services varies from UAH 0.50 to UAH 0.95, depending on the region. Regional options are available under the tariff, which is also available for postpaid subscribers.
