Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited Announces Audited Consolidated Earnings Results for the Year Ended December 31, 2011

Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited announced audited consolidated earnings results for the year ended December 31, 2011. For the year, net interest income was HKD 11,723 million, total operating income was HKD 21,494 million, operating profit before impairment was HKD 10,126 million, profit before taxation was HKD 9,963 million and profit attributable to equity shareholders of the Bank was HKD 8,324 million against net interest income of HKD 9,807 million, total operating income of HKD 18,401 million, operating profit before impairment of HKD 7,392 million, profit before taxation of HKD 7,338 million and profit attributable to equity shareholders of the Bank of HKD 6,145 million for the same period a year ago. Net cash generated from operating activities was HKD 33,355 million and payment for purchase of fixed assets was HKD 7,799 million against net cash generated from operating activities of HKD 43,306 million and payment for purchase of fixed assets of HKD 181 million a year ago.
