Standard Chartered Bank Announces Executive Changes

Standard Chartered Bank has announced the appointment of Walid Salameh as the New Co-Head of The Wholesale Bank and Head of Global Markets For Qatar and North Africa. Walid succeeds Rajat Sapra who has moved to a new role as Head of Capital Markets for the MENA region based in the UAE. Walid joined the Bank in January 2008 and was leading the bank's Financial Markets Sales efforts in North Africa and Levant region. Walid has over 15 years of banking experience and prior to joining Standard Chartered Bank he worked as Head of off-Shore unit and Head of Trading at Banque Marocaine du Commerce Exterieur in Morocco where he helped establishing the local currency FXO market.

Standard Chartered Bank Appoints Daniel Berman as Head of Capital Markets for Africa

Standard Chartered bank has picked up Daniel Berman as the new head of Capital Markets for its African operation. He will be based in Johannesburg and work under Henrik Raber, global head of Debt Capital Markets. Prior to this appointment, Berman had been working with JPMorgan for over seven years dealing with its clients in Southern Africa. He was in charge of the American company's capital markets and derivatives marketing in Africa region.
