Evonik Reportedly Mulls To Float
Feb 21 13
RAG AG and CVC Capital Partners Ltd. which own 75% stake and 25% stake in Evonik Industries AG respectively, plan to float 10% stake of shares in Evonik, by the end of April, 2013, two persons familiar with the owners' thinking said. Rheinische Post and WAZ Group newspapers reported that Evonik is valued at €14 billion. The newspapers also reported that Evonik's owners intend to place 7% of their shares with institutional investors before the floatation and about half of that stake has already been placed with funds and insurance companies for €550 million. Reuters reported that CVC declined to comment, while Evonik and RAG were not immediately available for comment.
