Shell Refining Company (Federation of Malaya) Berhad announced unaudited financial results for the first quarter March 31, 2014. For the quarter, the company reported revenue of MYR 3,987,532,000 against MYR 3,610,060,000 a year ago. Loss before taxation was MYR 59.257 million against MYR 63.859 million a year ago. Loss for the year /total comprehensive expense for the year was MYR 44.084 million or 14.69 sen per basic share against MYR 48.054 million or 16.02 sen per basic share a year ago. Net cash flow used in operating activities was MYR 33.957 million against MYR 364.861 million a year ago. Purchase of property, plant and equipment was MYR 8.114 million against MYR 15.752 million a year ago. The increase in revenue is attributable to higher volumes sold in 2014.
