Critical Mention, Inc. Key Developments

Nexstar Broadcasting Group Adopts Critical Media's Syndicaster Platform to Speed the Delivery of News Video to Web, Tablet and Mobile Platforms

Critical Mention, Inc. announced that Nexstar Broadcasting Group has adopted the Syndicaster platform to speed the delivery of news video to web, tablet and mobile platforms, and to power new live streams for original content not airing on TV. The Syndicaster technology will enable Nexstar stations to edit, title, tag and publish clips within 60 seconds of airtime or within 60 seconds of the video being uploaded from the field. This dramatically increases the number of news segment available to users of the news outlets' digital properties. Edited clips can also be included in Critical Media's ClipSyndicate platform, facilitating monetization through ad-supported and paid-for video syndication to enterprises and publishers. Under the terms of the agreement, 61 Nexstar television stations in 41 markets, covering over 12% of U.S. TV households, will deploy Syndicaster. Syndicaster enables live video editing of over-the-air content, aggregation of live breaking news captured in the field, and the monetization of this content through the Syndicaster private-labeled video player and ad server for hundreds of affiliates in local markets.

Critical Mention, Inc. Launches AllMedia Platform With Advanced Analytics for Mobile, Tablet & Web

Critical Mention, Inc. launched All-Media, a platform including millions of online information sources and cloud-based tools allowing clients to collect and curate user-generated video content from their online communities. AllMedia, the fifth version of Critical Mention's cloud-based software as a service, will be rolled out July 9 to select subscribers representing global consumer brands, international and regional not-for-profit organizations and governmental bodies. Features of the new platform include: Broadening of content monitored by Critical Mention beyond real-time television and radio to include comprehensive coverage of more than 36,000 online news sites, 20 million blogs, consumer review sites and forums, Twitter, and public pages from LinkedIn, Facebook and dozens of additional social platforms; Functionality across iOS and Android devices, supporting subscribers' mobile, tablet and web strategies; Powerful analytics backed by natural language processing (NLP) to reveal among other things, when and how news topics spread from medium to medium; Flexibility in how news alerts, reports and other data are shared among users within an organization, allowing multiple members of a team to collaborate while others working on confidential projects can keep their content private; Access to cloud-based video upload, editing, curation, tagging and publishing tools allowing fans and followers to submit video in a brand-safe manner; Turnkey video distribution engine to publish content to the world's social video platforms, including Syndicaster, ClipSyndicate, YouTube and other syndication platforms. By comingling Critical Mention's mainstay broadcast content with online social and mainstream media data, and analyzing it with NLP, clients will be better informed than with legacy point solutions.
