National Australia Bank Limited (NAB) has turned down a £2 billion takeover approach for Clydesdale Bank PLC and Yorkshire Bank PLC. SUN Capital Partners was in early stage talks for both of them. A spokesman for NAB refused to comment to Yorkshire Post on the rumors, but it is understood that the bid was deemed too low.
