Teknion Corporation Launches New Desking, Seating and Softspace Furniture Collection in Asia

Teknion Corporation announced the launch of several major new additions to its Asian contract furnishings offering. Among the products designed to address the emerging needs of workers and workplaces are the Interpret contemporary desking system, Projek task seating family, Mina task chair and Softspace Furniture Collection. The product launch is taking place in conjunction with the official opening of Teknion's redesigned showroom in Klang, Malaysia. Interpret(TM) is a contemporary desking system that works for virtually any person, any task, anywhere in the world. Based on a core platform frame and concise set of components, Interpret is a single product that can be built in many variations to address many workplace needs and planning configurations. Multiple design and development groups from around the world were challenged to create a single worldwide product line. Interpret is the result. With shared workspaces becoming increasingly common, the need for easy-to-use, adaptable seating that accommodates today's diverse range of users comfortably is more important than ever. The Projek(TM) synchro-tilt mesh task chair has a self-adjusting, weight-balancing mechanism and promotes a range of postures and movement. It is comfortable, has a clean modern look and is environmentally conscious. Projek is designed by and sold under license from Orangebox Limited and is now manufactured by Teknion in Asia and North America. The Mina(TM) task chair delivers clean design, comfortable workplace seating and ergonomics at a great price point. Available in upholstered and mesh finishes, Mina seating is designed and produced in Asia. The Softspace(TM) Furniture Collection comprises lounge seating, sofas and benches, swivel chairs, armchairs, stacking chairs, tables and a modular shelving system designed for a multitude of different workplace applications, using some of the latest materials and technology.

Teknion Announces Three Major New Business Partnerships

Teknion Corporation announced a new design partnership with industrial designers Jeffrey Bernett and Nicholas Dodziuk of CDS (Consultants for Design Strategy) studio, an exclusive North American distribution, licensing and manufacturing agreement with B&B Italia SpA for its Project Collection, and a new alliance with textile designer Suzanne Tick. Teknion Studio will initially offer soft seating, tables and related furniture products. A new lounge/table series is under development by Mario Ruiz of Spain. The Teknion Studio portfolio will facilitate blending and product integration with Teknion office furniture, as well as other brands. Teknion will be launching a new brand of textiles created by Suzanne Tick to bring a broad range of sophisticated and refined fabrics to the market. The new Teknion Textiles line will be comprised of contemporary fabrics at different price points while maintaining a cohesive collection. Graded-in upholstery, panel and architectural wall textiles will be available in the open market. An extension of Teknion’s core values – clean aesthetic, attention to detail, design innovation – the line will introduce new technologies and selections to the marketplace of with high-level design and quality.
