According to a Czech court decision, ArcelorMittal Ostrava a.s. has to put in place measures to reduce noise of steelworks within a year. The three year court procedure was due to a complaint raised by a local resident. It will cost the firm CZK 170 million (EUR 6.65 million USD 8.50 million) to improve the noise pollution. The company plans an appeal because it disagrees with several points of the verdict.
