Tengelmann Announces to Expand OBI Stores At Russia

Tengelmann announced that it plans to expand its chain of OBI stores on the Russian market. There are 22 OBI stores in Russia, seven in Moscow, five in St. Petersburg, two each in Nizhny Novgorod a Yekaterinburg and one each in Kazan, Omsk, Volgograd, Krasnodar, Saratov and Ryazan. The company started working in Russia in 2003, opening its first two stores in Moscow.
Tengelmann To Divest Ten Logistics Centers

Tengelmann Warenhandelsgesellschaft KG is looking for a buyer for ten logistics properties in Germany. According to Nai Apollo, the broker commissioned with the sale, seven of the properties are directly owned by Tengelmann, three are held via leasing structures. The total value of the portfolio runs to over €200 million, and a buyer is to be found by the end of the year.
OBI May Acquire Praktiker's Assets

OBI GmbH & Co. Deutschland KG may acquire some stores of Praktiker AG (XTRA:PRA) but not the entire company. Karl-Erivan Haub, Head of Tengelmann Warenhandelsgesellschaft KG, said, "We are definitely not going to acquire any DIY chain." Haub added that Obi could be interested in some Praktiker stores, but the acquisition of the whole company was not in consideration.
