Dana Thompson MD, MS, FACS has been named Division Head of Otolaryngology (Ear, Nose & Throat) at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, beginning November, 2012. Dr. Thompson comes from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, where she served as Chair of the Division of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology and as Associate Professor of Otolaryngology at the Mayo College of Medicine. Earlier in her career, Thompson was part of the Clinician Investigator Program for Laryngology, Dysphagia, and Esophageal Disorders at Mayo (1996-97), where she also earned an MS in Biomedical Sciences (1997-98). Dr. Thompson then completed her Fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology at the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and the University Of Cincinnati College Of Medicine (1997-99). She is currently completing coursework for a Master's in Health Administration (MHA) at the University of Minnesota's School of Public Health.
