Orlando City Selects Barton Malow Company to Construct Major League Soccer Stadium

Orlando City Soccer Club and the City of Orlando have announced the selection of Barton Malow Company as the construction manager for the new, downtown Major League Soccer, or MLS, stadium. Orlando City concurrently announced the selection of ICON Venue Group to serve as the Club's owner's representative overseeing the project. The stadium is expected to break ground in 2014 and is funded through a 50/50 public-private partnership, with $40 million pledged by the Club and the remainder via public contributions secured to date from Orange County, City of Orlando, Seminole County and Osceola County. Orlando City SC has agreed to cover any cost overruns associated with the project. The stadium will be operated by the City of Orlando.

Barton Malow Company has announced promotions of Chuck Binkowski and Bob Grottenthaler to senior vice president of Central region and Eastern region operations respectively and to company's board of directors. Joe Benvenuto, Benjamin Morgan, Sue Rogers, Bruce Rysztak and Jennifer Sulak Brown, PHR, promoted to vice president; Ron Torbert, Esq., vice president appointed to the Board of Directors; Ben Maibach III will continue to serve as Chairman & CEO, while Doug Maibach will assume the role of Vice Chairman of the Barton Malow Enterprise Board of Directors. Chuck Binkowski has led Barton Malow in some of its most significant projects and programs with clients such as DTE Energy, Consumers Energy and Severstal North America. With over 33 years at Barton Malow, he has helped transition the organization through critical changes within the Central Region as his leadership has grown from General Manager and Director of Self Perform Services, Director to vice president of Industrial and Energy markets and now as Sr. vice president of Barton Malow's with a focus on Central Region Operations which includes all Midwestern states as well as national markets and clients. Robert Grottenthaler, PE, LEED AP has provided over 20 years of construction experience and leadership to Barton Malow. Bob's broad focus on construction markets such as higher education, healthcare and sports has brought him to his overall leadership of Barton Malow's Eastern Region as Senior vice president and as a member of the Barton Malow Company Board of Directors. Previously as Sr. Director and now vice president, Joe will continue to lead efforts with major energy clients and projects nationally.
Consumers Energy Signs a Contract with Barton Malow Company for New Wind Park

Consumers Energy has signed a contract with Barton Malow Company for engineering, procurement and construction services at its $255 million Cross Winds Energy Park, a 105-megawatt wind farm in Tuscola County. The contract is subject to approval by the Michigan Public Service Commission. The contract includes designing, engineering and constructing the park's turbine foundations, access roads, an operations and maintenance building; erecting the park's 62 wind turbines; and building the infrastructure that connects the turbines to the electrical grid.
