Terminales Portuarias S.A. -- TERPORT Completes Navis N4 TOS Implementation
Nov 20 14
Navis announced that Terminales Portuarias S.A. - TERPORT successfully went live on the Navis N4 terminal operating system. The TOS investment represents a continued commitment to optimizing operations, creating efficiencies and improving service for its customers. TERPORT's N4 implementation took eight months to complete and its successful go-live was the result of seamless collaboration between the terminal and Navis Professional Services teams. Due to the TOS' functionality, performance and ease of use demonstrated throughout the implementation, TERPORT began using N4 two weeks prior to the official launch date. As a result, the system roll out was a success and the terminal did not experience any system disruptions during the go-live. With N4 in place, TERPORT will gain significant operational improvements that will help raise its position as a leading port in the Americas. The benefits of N4 will include improving the transparency of operations along with at least 10% reduction in yard moves.
