Mayotte Channel Gateway Selects Navis N4 to Improve Terminal Operations and Drive Customer Growth
Oct 16 14
Navis announced that Mayotte Channel Gateway, located in the Mozambique channel off of the East African coast, has signed a license agreement to use the N4 terminal operating system (TOS). MCG, located at the French-governed Port of Longoni, is a main transshipment hub in the region, managing 60,000 TEU annually and is expected to grow 15% over the next five years. MCG selected N4 due to its breadth of functionality and name recognition in the market. With the N4 implementation planned for later this year, MCG will be able to optimize operations, update to a more modern platform, support changing business requirements and achieve competitive advantages. The N4 TOS will also allow MCG to have an enhanced view of all the terminal's operations, attract key customers in the market and connect with more trade partners globally.
Montreal Gateway Terminals Completes Successful Implementation of Navis Terminal Operating System
May 21 14
Montreal Gateway Terminals Partnership (MGT) and Navis announced the successful implementation of the Navis N4 terminal operating system at MGT. The new system will help MGT optimize terminal productivity and empower further enhancement of service delivery, reinforcing its position as a leader in the industry. The implementation was a migration from Navis' legacy software SPARCS and an internally developed data host system to N4, Navis' latest generation terminal operating system. N4 allows customers to run their operations from a single terminal to multiple terminals spanning numerous geographic locations managed from one central location. By consolidating all systems on one platform, the move enables MGT to modernize its IT infrastructure, optimize terminal efficiency, and facilitate ongoing logistics innovations, while providing for an even safer and more secure environment. Located in close proximity to strategic markets in the U.S. and Canada, MGT has an annual TEU capacity in excess of 1.8 MM and services all aspects of terminal operations, including ship, gate and rail operations. Because of its geographic position and industry leadership, MGT is a strategic gateway between North America, Europe, and the Mediterranean for container cargo.
Terminales Portuarias S.A. -- TERPORT Licenses Navis N4 to Raise Performance Standards and Drive Growth
Apr 28 14
Navis announced that Terminales Portuarias S.A. -- TERPORT, located in Paraguay, has chosen to implement Navis N4 terminal operating system (TOS). The decision to partner with Navis underscores the terminal's commitment to efficiency, responsiveness and operational transparency for customers. Focusing on implementing processes that are world class and compared to the best performers in the world, TERPORT is committed to the higher safety and security standards while maintaining high performance levels. The terminal is located in the City of San Antonio, a few kilometers south of Asuncion, at the heart of the Paraguay-Parana Waterway. TERPORT will be the first terminal on the Paraguay River to go-live with N4 -- scheduled for September 2014. TERPORT anticipates more than 10% annual growth in the next few years. In order to manage this growth, it is imperative for the terminal to optimize its processes and technology to focus on providing superior service to its customers. This includes a commitment to transparent operations and increased efficiency that will directly translate to overall cost reductions. As part of this implementation, TERPORT will utilize Navis' Expert Decking module, a comprehensive yard allocation optimization tool that facilitates real-time, accurate and optimized stowage of containers in the yard. This will ensure that terminal operators can focus on bigger picture yard management making it easier to increase yard capacity and optimize operations. N4 is Navis' latest generation TOS, allowing customers the flexibility and scalability needed to run their operations - from a single terminal to multiple terminals spanning numerous geographic locations managed from one central location.
