Lahey Clinic, Inc. announced the appointment of two new clinical chairmen. Zoher Ghogawala, MD, FACS, has been named the Charles A. Fager Chair of Neurosurgery, while Lifei Guo, MD, PhD, FACS, has been named as the chair of the Clinic’s plastic and constructive surgery department. Dr. Ghogawala is a board certified neurosurgeon specializing in spinal and vascular neurological disorders. He comes to Lahey from Yale New Haven Hospital and Greenwich Hospital in Greenwich, Connecticut, where he founded and directed the Wallace Trials Center. Dr. Guo joins Lahey Clinic from Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He specializes in breast reconstruction, complex reconstructive surgery and hand and microsurgery. Dr. Guo’s research interests include wound healing, microvascular anastomosis, as well as nerve and tissue regeneration.
