Wilmington Savings Fund Society, FSB Announces Board Changes
Mar 28 13
WSFS Bank recently announced the date of its annual stockholders meeting, and the Wilmington-based institution is expected to use the occasion to change the structure and make-up of its corporate governance. WSFS informed shareholders in a regulatory filing earlier this month that it would be shrinking its board of directors from 11 seats to 10. The bank also reduced the size of its board last year when three retiring board members were not replaced. Director R. Ted Weschler decided not to seek re-election because he will be taking on an expanded role with Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway. Former Bayhealth CEO Dennis E. Klima and William B. Chandler III, the former chancellor of the Delaware Chancery Court, plan to retire. With those three departures, WSFS will welcome only two new directors. Longwood Foundation president Eleuthère. du Pont has been nominated to the board along with David G.Turner, vice president/partner of IBM Global Business Services.
