Global Radio has hired Matt Jeffries, director of customer intelligence at BSkyB, to the new role of group director of insight, research and analytics.

Global Radio has appointed Martin Plant as its commercial trading director. Plant, the former executive sales director of the now- defunct TV sales house ids, replaces Ed Chalmers, who became Channel 4's sales director in January. In his new role, Plant will be responsible for managing the airtime sales team and all spot advertising across Global Radio's network. He will report to Mike Gordon, the managing director, commercial. Plant will work alongside the director of commercial strategy, Stuart Mays, and John McGeough, the commercial operations director.

Global Radio has appointed former SeeSaw commercial director Matt Rennie to the new position of enterprise director to drive existing and new revenue streams. Rennie will be charged with bringing together several elements of Global Radio's business including its partnership with iTunes, its gaming and directory offerings.
