Company Overview of Huawei Technologies India Pvt. Ltd.

Huawei Technologies India Pvt. Ltd. announced that it will invest $150 million in its research and development (R and D) centre coming up in Bangalore. The centre, being built over one million sq feet can seat about 4,000 people. The development centre will cater to Huawei's enterprise, telecom operators and cellphone business segments.

Huawei has appointed Wilson Wang as its new chief operating officer (COO) of Huawei Technologies India Pvt. Ltd. In this new role, he will be responsible for operations and management, developing Huawei's investment and strategic plan for the country and leading the company's R&D center in strengthening the end-to-end ownership of products. He will also be working on strengthening Huawei's cloud computing solutions portfolio, helping them develop solutions for data center and the unified communications and IP contact center and create a devices product center to build India specific mobile apps. Wilson Wang has been working at Huawei for over 13 years and prior to this new role, he served as the director in application and software product-line in Huawei Technologies in Shenzhen, China.
