IGN Entertainment, Inc. announced the debut of Project S.E.R.A., a new zombie action-thriller digital series, on its START YouTube channel. Based on the original short film by Benjamin Howdeshell, the series stars Julia Voth (Bitch Slap), who returns in her role from the short as ass-kicking heroine Gillian Eames and teams up with Derek Theler (Baby Daddy) as Lt Riggins. It follows Eames and Riggins as they race against the clock to stop the black market sale of a highly volatile biological agent that was originally designed by the military to expedite the recovery of soldiers wounded on the battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan.

The IGN Pro League (IPL), the competitive video game league presented by IGN Entertainment, Inc., announced a partnership with NetEase, Inc. and MarsTV, to jointly promote the development of IPL and eSports in China. MarsTV will be the exclusive live broadcaster for the Chinese Regional Qualifiers, while Netease's S.163.com site, the central destination for StarCraft II-related news in China, will be responsible for China's press coverage of the IGN Pro League's next event, IPL 5. In 2012, IPL will invite one Chinese StarCraft II player and one Chinese League of Legends team to the United States to compete at an upcoming IPL event. Through the Chinese Regional Qualifiers, the top StarCraft II player and League of Legends team will earn a ticket to go to IPL 5. So far, XiGua, Infi, LoveCD, Loner and many other well-known Chinese players have already signed up, with many more expected to debut.

IGN Entertainment, Inc. launched first dedicated video games content App On Xbox LIVE. Dedicated to all-things gaming, the IGN Entertainment app will offer the Xbox community access to the most relevant previews, reviews, game guides, gameplay videos, live streams of eSports events and content from the IGN Pro League and access to industry events like the 2012 Electronic Entertainment Expo. The app will also feature 'instant access' to game help walkthroughs and IGN's extensive catalog of popular shows, including "The Daily Fix," "Strategize" and more -- allowing users to quickly view gaming-related content on the biggest screen in the house. The app will also feature voice and gesture control with Kinect for Xbox 360 and Facebook sharing through Xbox LIVE. The IGN app will be available to Xbox LIVE Gold members in the U.S. at launch.
