Unipart has appointed Digby Jones, Lord Jones of Birmingham Kt, as non-executive deputy chairman of Unipart's consultancy group, Unipart Expert Practices. Lord Jones, who served as Director General of the CBI and Minister of State for Trade and Investment, is a Business Ambassador at UK Trade & Investment. He spent the next 12 months in the private sector, holding a variety of non-executive board roles and advisory positions and was the unpaid UK Skills Envoy. He is Chairman of Triumph Motorcycles Limited, Chairman of Grove Industries, a Non-Executive Director of Spicers Office Suppliers and is Corporate Ambassador for Jaguar Cars and JCB. He is Chairman of the Emergency Services Advisory Board of Babcock International Group plc and a Senior Adviser to BP plc and Harvey Nash plc.

Unipart Group of Companies Ltd. has appointed John Neill as chairman, succeeding Lord Sheppard of Didgemere, who has retired from the role after serving as non-executive chairman for 16 years. John Neill was previously Deputy Chairman of the board and will continue in his role as Unipart Group Chief Executive. Mr. Neill is also non-executive Director of Rolls-Royce plc He was formerly a Director of the Bank of England and a non-executive Director of the Royal Mail and Charter International plc John Neill joined Unipart from General Motors in 1974.
