Integra Telecom, Inc. Expands Network Infrastructure in Minneapolis

Integra Telecom, Inc. announced an expansion of its network infrastructure in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The company said that with construction focused on the Central Business District (CBD),it will complete its build-out of approximately 1,600 fiber miles in the fourth quarter of 2013, which allows over 225 downtown-area buildings and more than 3,000 businesses to access the company's comprehensive portfolio of high-bandwidth solutions. The company said that with construction of new fiber optic rings, it will expand upon a presence in the Minneapolis metro area that began in 1998 and grew with the company's 2007 acquisition of Eschelon Telecom. The company said that new network assets will extend its on-network services to over 225 downtown business locations at bandwidths of up to 100 Gbps, providing access to enterprise-class offerings such as Carrier Ethernet Services, IP/MPLS VPN and Managed and Cloud Services, including its Hosted Voice Service and Cloud Firewall Service.
