Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. has renewed a crude storage lease with the Japanese government that will see the Mideast crude supplier storing 1 million kiloliters (6.29 million bbl) of crude oil in Japan for three years, with the option to extend for two more years.
State-Owned Firms Interested In Investing In Mexico

State-owned Abu Dhabi firms, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company and Mubadala Petroleum Services Company are showing “serious interest” in investing in Mexico’s newly opened energy sector, said Mexican oil executives and government officials on Tuesday. UAE delegations have visited Mexico four times this year with Mubadala Petroleum and the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) having held a number of discussions with state energy firm Petroleos Mexicanos and the Mexican government, said Franciso Alonso, Mexico’s Ambassador to the UAE. Mexico will open tender bids for shallow water oil exploration and mature field production next week with concessions to be awarded in May 2015, said Guillermo Garcia Alcocer from the Mexican Ministry of Energy.
Abu Dhabi National Oil Company Invests USD 70 Billion

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company announced that it has invested USD 70 billion in developing new oil and gas fields, as well as in boosting the country's current output capacity to 3.5 million barrels per day by 2017. The Ministry said that the company is ready to increase its oil production capacity from the current 1.4 million barrels per day (bpd) to 1.8 million bpd by 2017, with the Shah Gas Project on track to commence production in 2014. The UAE is also planning a number of projects under its national strategy to diversify the energy mix as well as have the production of liquefied natural gas (LNG) be divided into 50% of the production for the local demand while the remaining 50% will be imported.
