Jumbo Electronics is finalising its two-year growth strategy that also include to open small format stores as most of the products' sizes are shrinking. The company also expects to continue a double-digit growth this year. The company has 24 stores across the UAE and expects total 28 stores by the end of its next financial year in March, 2014.
Jumbo Electronics Company Ltd. (LLC) intends to pursue acquisition. The company will pursue medium-sized acquisitions program in 2013 to fuel group's growth. "We are planning a big expansion this year starting from Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain and especially so for the UAE. We have 24 outlets in the UAE and 28 across the Gulf. We are also looking at medium-sized acquisitions for diversifying our portfolio. It could be from the UAE or from the Gulf. We had discussions with some prospects. I would like it to happen this year. It can be from outside the electronics industry also and we are seriously looking at opportunities. It is being formulated and I will let you know when we sign a deal," Vishesh Bhatia, Jumbo's Chief Executive Officer, told Gulf News.
Jumbo Electronics Company Ltd. (LLC) announced the appointment of Vishesh L. Bhatia as its new CEO. Bhatia joined his new role after retiring from the Al-Futtaim Group, where he held the position of group director, Electronics, Engineering and Technologies. Bhatia has worked in Dubai since 1978 and his new role marks the second time that he has worked with Jumbo, where he served as its COO between 2001 and 2002.
