Solar Junction Signs Co-Development Agreement with Amonix

Solar Junction has signed a co-development agreement with Amonix. Solar Junction's new record continues to demonstrate the value of its A-SLAM(TM) materials, which uniquely provide CPV system manufacturers the foundation to deliver the most efficient conversion of solar to electrical energy. CPV panels work by concentrating sunlight onto small multi-junction cells, which Solar Junction manufactures at its North San Jose facility.

Amonix Inc. Announces Closing of its North Las Vegas Plant

Amonix Inc. has closed its North Las Vegas plant in the latest government-funded alternative energy project to run into problems. News of the Las Vegas closing, first reported by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, comes after Amonix laid off 76 people in Seal Beach last month, according to a notice filed with the California Employment Development Department. The Seal Beach layoffs included the assistant general counsel, controller, director of human resources, director of audit, director of manufacturing operations, the director of strategic development and a host of other senior executives as well as engineers and workers in research and development, and supply chain management.
