Messer to Build EUR 30 Million Plant in Poland for Gas Processing

Messer is to build a production plant in Poland for air gases and an additional filling plant for technical gases in cylinders, investing EUR 30 million and EUR 3 million respectively. The production plant for air gases will produce 400 tonnes/day of liquid oxygen and nitrogen, equivalent to the capacity of 20 tankers. The gases produced at the plant will have as end user the pharmaceutical industry, as well as food manufacturing. The start up of the plant will create 15 jobs, it added, while the additional filling plant will create 10 more jobs. The air separation plant is expected to begin operations in the third quarter of 2015, while the filling plant is expected to be commissioned a year later.
Bosnian Unit of Messer Group Plans to Invest EUR 2.7 Million in 2014

The Bosnian unit of Messer Group announced that it plans to invest EUR 2.7 million ($3.7 million) to boost its capacity and enhance its technological development in 2014. The funds will be invested in the construction of a facility in the Banja Luka's technology park as well as for technology updates and the improvement of environmental standards. The construction of a facility in Banja Luka is expected to start in March next year.

Messer Group Gmbh appointed Nathalie von Siemens as a member of the supervisory board. Her appointment means that the Supervisory Board of Messer Group GmbH now has six members. The post of Chairman has been occupied by Jürgen Heraeus since 2004. Nathalie von Siemens 2005 joined a General Management Trainee Programme at Siemens AG. After working in investor relations and corporate communications, she switched to corporate strategy. Most recently she was responsible for developing top talents at group level.
