Capgemini Government Solutions LLC announced that it is one of six large business awardees for Functional Category 3 -- Independent Test, Validation, Verification, and Evaluation within the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions II (EAGLE II) contract vehicle.

Capgemini announced that Douglas Charles has been appointed chief executive officer of Capgemini Government Solutions LLC. Prior to this new appointment, Charles served as a vice president in the Capgemini Applications Services business unit in North America focused on a number of areas, including market development, alliances, and services offerings. In his new role as chief executive officer of Capgemini Government Solutions LLC, Charles will continue to drive strategy and growth for Capgemini with U.S. public sector clients, especially in the areas of unemployment insurance, business information, independent verification and validation, and consulting services. Charles is based in the Washington, D.C. metro area, splitting his time between the new Capgemini Government Solutions LLC headquarters in Reston, VA and the company's new Collaboration Center located in the Washington, D.C. downtown area.

Capgemini Government Solutions LLC won a $1,013,948.60 federal contract from the U.S. Army Contracting Command, Rock Island, Ill., for professional, administrative and management support services.
