Sun Bancorp Inc. announced that Thomas X. Geisel, President and Chief Executive Officer of the company and Sun National Bank, will terminate employment effective December 2, 2013. Mr. Geisel will also resign as a member of the Board of Directors of the Company and the Bank on that date. The company has retained the international firm of Spencer Stuart to assist in the selection of a new President and Chief Executive Officer. During the pendency of that search and subject to regulatory approval, Sidney R. Brown, Chairman of the Board of the company, will serve as Interim President and Chief Executive Officer.
Sun National Bank Launches Mobile Banking Application to Deposit Checks

Sun National Bank, a subsidiary of Sun Bancorp Inc., now offers customers the ability to deposit checks to Sun checking accounts by using the camera on a mobile phone. Sun has launched Mobile Deposit, a service that enables consumer online banking customers to quickly and securely deposit a check from anyone into a Sun checking account, simply by taking a photo of the back and front of the check. Customers who want to use Mobile Deposit must have the latest version of the user-friendly Sun National Bank Mobile Banking App, which is available for download from iTunes or Google Play, on an iPhone or Android cell phone. Customers can also check account balances, view pending transactions, transfer funds and make single bill payments through Sun's mobile banking service on a cell phone. Consumers are increasingly using mobile phone applications to conduct 'on-the-go' financial transactions, including purchases, donations and banking activities. Mobile Deposit is the latest addition to a suite of forward-thinking banking solutions that enable Sun customers to interact with anytime, anywhere, in a secure online environment.
