One Stop Systems, Inc. Key Developments

One Stop Systems Introduces The CUBE Desktop Expansion Enclosures

One Stop Systems, Inc. rolls out The CUBE, the latest in desktop expansion enclosures at Macworld 2014. This light weight, whisper-quiet appliance offers tremendous performance gains to a laptop or workstation by simply attaching to a computer through a Thunderbolt or PCIe high-speed connection. Flexible and versatile, The CUBE offers a variety of sizes to accommodate a number of PCIe cards to create the desired system. The CUBE is especially ideal for noise-sensitive environments and can be used with both MAC and PC systems with comparable efficiency. The CUBE family includes The nanoCUBE, µCUBE, µCUBE2, and µCUBE3 supporting PCIe short cards and The CUBE, CUBE2, and CUBE3 supporting full-length PCIe cards. The most compact of the family, the nanoCUBE supports one short card up to 7.3" long. The µCUBE, µCUBE2, and the µCUBE3 all support up to 1, 3, and 5 short cards respectively up to 9.5" long. In addition, the µCUBE is offered in a window version designed especially for board vendors that want to show their boards in operation. The CUBE, CUBE2, and CUBE3 enclosures support up to 2, 5, and 8 full length PCIe cards respectively. The CUBE enclosures are especially useful for adding GPUs to their system. All are equipped with additional power cables for GPUs and sufficient power and cooling for the most demanding cards. The CUBE expansion enclosures are available in a variety of configurations and prices from $450 for the mCUBE with Thunderbolt or PCIe connections.

One Stop Systems, Inc. Introduces the Gen3 Flash Storage Array and Gen3 High Density Compute Accelerator for HPC

One Stop Systems, Inc. unveiled its latest appliances for the HPC market at SC13. The HDCA supports up to sixteen NVIDIA K40 GPUs or Intel Xeon Phi Coprocessors. The HDCA is being shown in OSS booth #1137, PLX booth #3626, Aspen Systems booth #1707, IBM booth #2713, and Intel Channel Partner booth #2501 by Exxact Corp. IBM is also selling the HDCA through its sales channels. The FSA supports up to 32 Fusion ioScale NAND Flash boards with 100TB of Flash memory that can reach 40GB/s throughput and over 8 million IOPS. The FSA is being shown in the OSS booth #1137 and the Fusion-io booth #3709. Both appliances are targeted for data centers operating HPC applications, providing the user with a complete appliance that solves any integration issues. The user simply connects the cables to the host servers and has thousands of compute cores or hundreds of TB of storage readily available.

One Stop Systems, Inc. Introduces Gen3 High Density Compute Accelerator for HPC

One Stop Systems, Inc. introduced the PCIe Gen3 expansion appliance to support up to sixteen high-end accelerator boards. The High Density Compute Accelerator adds 73.3 Tflops of computational power using sixteen NVIDIA Tesla K10 GPUs. The Accelerator is targeted for data centers operating HPC applications, providing the user with a complete appliance that solves any integration issues. The user simply connects the cable or cables to the host server(s) and has hundreds or thousands of additional compute cores readily available. Installation is made easier by the modularity of the appliance. The Accelerator consists of the rackmount chassis, three modular power supplies, four pre-loaded canisters, and the front bezel. The power supplies and the canisters slide into the front of the chassis and the front bezel snaps into place. One to four servers are then cabled to the rear of the enclosure. Each connection operates at Gen3 speeds of 128Gb/s. Each canister is equipped with four PCIe x16 Gen3 slots that operate up to 128Gb/s each. While the enclosure supports any type of PCIe card, for convenience the canisters are provided pre-loaded with four Intel Xeon Phi coprocessors or NVIDIA Tesla K10 or K20 GPUs. An intake fan is located on the front of each canister, directing ambient air through the canister. The canister slides into the enclosure and plugs into the backplane at the rear of the enclosure.
